I really do exist.
I have accomplished the following things this summer:
I have swum in the Columbia a lot, which, with a high thyroid, is the only way to cool off at 100F.
I have survived (it was really tough) my oldest daughter's 5 week trip to Germany, with a Lufthansa strike during her trip home.
I have discovered a blog to visit, http://community.livejournal.com/hotel_workers/, and am pleased to find that I am not like a those hotel visitors.
I survived the temporary loss of the good camera, which I thought had gone to Germany, but was actually in her backpack in her room. I was assured (in June), with cuss words, that she did not have it and had never had it. Oh well. I await the apology.
I finished four quilts, of which none have pictures because of the missing camera. The above is only a top; I made it during a class I took at http://www.quiltuniversity.com/ . There are several others to post still. It is supposed to represent spring colors, which is why there are flowers blowing around.
I found two more great jokes:
Why do they call it PMS?
(Because the name "mad cow disease" was already taken.)
There are three kinds of people in this world: Those who are good at math, and those who are not.
And I thought I would give you the answers to my trivia quiz:
Alaska (X3), Hawaii (but you are beginning to think, if the questioner does it right, that Alaska just might be the southernmost state)
Juneau, Alaska
Honolulu, Hawaii
Olympia, Washington
Salem, Oregon
Sacramento, California
Carson City, Nevada
Africa
Usually about 5-7
Use powers of 2, not multiples of 2.
And my younger daughter has survived me.

Really beautiful quilt. It has a whole different look close up from further away. Glad to see you write again. I miss it when you take long breaks.
