Dear Family &Friends: (or Friends & Family, if you prefer.  We can adjust)

Greetings and Blessings during this time of Advent.

This year has been mask on, mask off, mask on… Covid comes and goes.  Our extra-domo* activities had started up with fits and …well, just like yours, I guess.

Deki just finished his last cancer drugs on December 9.  We get his port removed in January.  He has been in remission since November 2019, six weeks after this whole adventure started, but has gone through the entire treatment to prevent a recurrence.  Thankfully, we have been able to do the pentamidine infusion here in the Tri-cities, so we didn’t have to make day trips to Seattle.  We still had to go to Children’s every three months for a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) and more chemo. Looking forward to one last drive over the pass (yippee!) in the snow (not so yippee..).  Deki’s adventures are chronicled in https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/dekilong.

One of the benefits has been reconnecting with Marion’s twin siblings Susie and Stuart, when they weren’t working and such.  We also visited Jack’s dad Herb, when his living facility would let us in. Other than that, Jack went to work, Marion sewed, got a new sewing machine! Jack looks to “retire” at the end of August 2022. We will let you know how that works out in the 2022 Christmas letter. Plus, we went to the mountains periodically.  And here is what you have been waiting for, the pictures!
